Ready to learn the basics of sewing? Join guest artist Quilts by Nancy for this two-day beginner-friendly course designed to introduce you to your sewing machine while creating something beautiful and useful!
Day One: We’ll learn the basics of your sewing machine, practice with a few tester sews, and choose the fabrics you’ll use for your project. You’re welcome to bring your own fabric if you have something special in mind, or choose from the provided options.
Suggested Materials to bring for first class:
Fabric Scissors
Seam Ripper
Rotary Cutter
6”×24” Ruler
2 empty Bobbins required
Thread Required
Day Two: Put your new skills to work as we sew a set of double-sided placemats that you’ll take home and enjoy!
🧵 IMPORTANT: BRING YOUR OWN SEWING MACHINE AND THREAD!
Please bring a working sewing machine that is ready to use. Neutral colored thread is recommended and 2 empty Bobbins. No prior sewing experience is required—we’ll guide you through the basics!
